#3 Zequoia Williams
Class of 2007
CIF DIV. 4A PLAYER OF THE YEAR 2007
Zequoia was a four year Letter-woman/starter for the Lady Falcons from 2003-2007. Typically anyone who loves the game of basketball attempts to find a nickname for breath taking athletes who excel in the sport. The moniker this writer chose for Zee is 'AI II' since Allen Iverson is her favorite basketball player. Seeing Zee in action you would make the association with Allen Iverson as a ball player immediately. Her speed and supreme athletic ability compared to other players in her era is absolutely laughable.
Zee was simply better than most teams at times; an absolute assassin with the basketball for the Lady Falcons during her time on campus. The first female athlete this writer has ever seen finish with her left hand off the bounce at the rim on a regular basis (that's just counting one skill you measure basketball players by). Zequoia started the video game stat line at DHS in her sophomore season, averaging 18.5 ppg, 4.9 assists, 6.9 rebounds per game, and 6.3 steals per contest.
Zee would go on to even greater heights her junior and senior seasons for big blue averaging more than 20 ppg in each season to go along with more than 5 assists and close to 9 rebounds a night (this is your point guard). The video game stats would make Zee the most highly decorated basketball player in school history in 2007. Call it a dream season, it still remains the greatest season any Falcon has ever had in the gymnasium on campus. Zee was named Montview league MVP, All area SGV Tribune, Cal-Hi All State nominee as well as being named CIF DIV. 4A STATE PLAYER OF THE YEAR (the only Falcon to ever earn such an honor in basketball).
Zequoia would go on to play basketball at Mt. San Antonio College (Walnut,CA.) and earn a State Championship in College (a mythical National Title) as a member of MT. San Antonio College's 2008 championship team. Zequoia was a key contributor both offensively and defensively for an absolutely loaded squad that was in the midst of finishing off another 3 PEAT as California State Junior College Champions. California is widely regarded as one of the three toughest states to play junior college basketball in for Men/Women, which is extremely impressive for anyone.

Note: If a player you know is missing on this list, we will be glad to accept additional suggestions and nominations right up until the moment the selections become final when they go live on the web site and are released to the state's media. That will be approximately two weeks after the CIF state championships. Feel free to go onto our message boards and debate possible selections as well. Before finalizing each all-state team, we will check those boards. Every nugget of information can be helpful so don't hesitate to send it in.
Some of the early players we picked as All-Staters -- like Cynthia Cooper of L.A. Locke -- have retired from successful careers in the WNBA. All are included in our record book. It's also more than welcome to send in a nomination for someone already on the list. Don't assume we know all there is to know about every player.
A nomination can be sent in by email to [email protected] or by FAX at (209) 463-1219 or by direct mail to: 3232 N. El Dorado, Suite C, Stockton CA 95204. Please keep all nominations to one page in length and pay special attention to comparative performances against other top players. Be sure to include player's school, year in school, height, position and statistics that could make a difference. We have been honoring players and coaches in California high school basketball for more than 25 years and our research goes back more than 100 years.

Former Falcon star hired as Boys Basketball Coach at Monrovia High School
2016-2017 season
Go to Monrovia High and on boys basketball game days you will see one coach that looks like she can suit up now - take a second look, and you will discover that a former Falcon is patrolling the sidelines as the head coach of Monrovia High School's frosh/soph boys basketball team. Zequoia Williams is on the coaching staff and still a part of the game she loves - this writer is absolutely thrilled for her.
Zee has coached kids in multiple sports within the Duarte Parks & rec system over the years in addition to helping out at her alma mater (DHS) with boys and girls basketball from time to time when asked. Always willing to help train younger kids to develop as ball players - its about time a high school gave this lady a shot. This writer knows Zee will be an amazing coach if given the opportunity - good luck Zee.
